Building on the Legacy: Fundraising Campaign

The Building on the Legacy fundraising campaign opens the door to new opportunities for businesses and residents of Ponoka and surrounding areas.  The Ponoka Ag Event Centre is a year-round agricultural, recreational, special event and education centre that will serve a diverse range of clients.  It is an anchor attraction, tourism and economic driver for Ponoka, and it is estimated that the facility will attract $4M in non-local spending annually.  This campaign reaches out to all corners of our community and the surrounding county area to seek financial support for this exciting project.

The Goal

Our goal is to raise $ 3 million, which is approximately 25% of the cost of the entire Ag Event Centre Project.  By reaching this goal we will be able to finish the project in its entirety so that the facility can be used to its fullest potential.

Who's Taking The Lead?

A committee of dedicated community volunteers is the driving force behind this campaign, lead by our Fundraising Chair, Sherry Gummow.  We are honored to have life-long resident and respected businessman, Ralph Vold, as our Honorary Chairman.  In addition, The Ponoka Ag Event Centre Society Board Members are all committed to the success of this campaign.

Time's Ticking

Fundraising is already underway.  To maximize your opportunity for best exposure and resulting recognition, your financial commitment should be made as soon as possible.

Who Should Donate?

Anyone who believes that this project will be vital to the vibrancy and growth of our community should consider making a charitable contribution.
For local business owners, this opportunity will showcase your company name to thousands of centre visitors.  In addition, the influx of visitors to Ponoka as a result of this facility will benefit your business financially.
If you are a resident to the town or county of Ponoka this project will provide agricultural, recreational and education opportunities that have never been available before on a local level.  As we are a registered charity with Canada Revenue Agency, individuals can benefit by receiving a charitable tax receipt when they donate.
Anyone and everyone within our community stand to benefit from this first-class facility.  It will attract newcomers to our area and will help stimulate economic stability and growth.
